Point 1: The Perfect Conscience through Cleansing

  • Christian’s are called to have a perfect conscience

  • Setting the stage- Hebrews 9:1-5 These verses set the stage for speaking of the New Testament realities as symbolized and foreshadowed in the Old Testament.
  • The “Old” made no one perfect-Hebrews 9:6-10 All of the priestly sacrifices of old could not make the Jewish worshipper holy, blameless or perfect.
  • Cleansing the conscience with… - Hebrews 9:11-14 Only by the blood of Jesus Christ can a person ever hope to have a perfectly clean conscience and have the power to serve the living God.
