We have begun our Scriptural journey in the study of Fear as a strong and powerful motivator. As was introduced last week, fear of man, suffering, death, and any other fear you may face in this life can drive you away from loving and serving the LORD. We must learn how to courageously move forward in faithfulness in the face of these fears. We must learn to fear the LORD. We must learn the many facets of the fear of the LORD and the rich and wonderful blessings that are granted to those who fear the LORD only. This morning we begin in earnest by facing the realities of being a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Using the word of Christ found in Matthew 10:24-39, we will examine five unalterable realities that Christians must face and chose how they will respond to them. In order to respond correctly, we need to answer three important questions. Who and what are we to fear? Who and what are we to serve? Who and what we are to love? In searching the bible in the next twelve months we will find the definitive answer to each of these questions and be mentally and spiritually equipped for the challenges to come.
