Regardless of the circumstances in our lives if we are Christians we are seated with Him in joy and eternal pleasures.
Point 1: Possessing the Mind of Christ!
- In Christ, we are dwelling with Him in joy and peace.
- Change Your Mindset…set your mind on things above, on spiritual things.

- Paul was in prison but…was greatly rejoicing at the progress of the gospel preaching and the boldness to preach.
- Paul was in prison but…was excited about the many future opportunities to serve the church.
- Paul was in prison but…was totally motivated to encourage the brethren to remain steadfast and united.
- How Paul did it is…exactly same way we do it! We must have the mindset and attitude of Christ Jesus. We must put other people’s needs first and humble ourselves and serve others as Christ laid down His life for us. Philippians 2:3-8
- True joy and pleasures…comes from thinking of others, living for others, serving others and encouraging others.
- True joy and pleasures…comes from walking in the same manner as Christ walked. He was the humble servant that put our needs above His own.
Point 2: Walking in the Faith of Christ!
- The foundation of Christ’s faith was total trust in God.
- Rejoicing greatly in…God’s loving provision through the church.Philippians 4:10, 15-20
- Rejoice in the Lord…that God has provided for his well being through the brethren from the city of Philippi.
- Rejoice in the Lord…for the profit or fruit which increases to the giver’s life through God’s provision.
- Trusting the Lord in…complete contentment without fear of being in poverty or want. Philippians 4:11-14
- I have learned…to be content in whatever circumstances I am in both humble means and prosperity.
- I have learned…contentment in every circumstance the secret of being filled and being hungry of having abundance and suffering need.
- In every circumstance…Paul walked by Christ’s faith, trusting in God and not himself. He could and did all thing through the faith of Christ. So we also can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Conclusion: We are able through Christ’s strength to face every challenge and overcome every trial. God is able to do exceedly abundantly beyond all we ask or think in the power of Christ Jesus who dwells within us. Galatians 2:20& Ephesians 3:20-21
