A Laodicean Church- Be Zealous and Repent!

I don’t think I have ever begged you to join the assembly at the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ.  It might seem strange if I did.  I do remember, as you might, our brother Paul begged the brethren in Rome to listen to his instruction when he said, “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God…”  The word beseech can be rendered beg!  So I earnestly ask that you join us this morning or find the sermon on our webpage later today and listen very carefully.  I you are not able to do this I ask you do you own very careful study of the sermon passage this morning and be honest about the present state of your relationship with Christ.  This morning’s sermon is taken from Revelation 3:14-22.  Have you every been self-deceived?  How can a person know if they are self-deceived unless some one convicts them of the self induced delusion of reality.  This morning in the passage from Revelation I will be teaching from, Jesus warns the church of self-deception, apathy, and a self induced stupor towards truth and the practice of His righteousness and holiness in doing His will from a heart of fervent love!  The LORD is calling us all to evaluate or lives and commit ourselves to a more zealous love, devotion and service to Him!
