The Embodiment of the Faith of Christ

Thank you for joining us once again as a part of the fellowship of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ.  This morning we will finish with our mini series on the study of possessing the faith of Christ to be empowered to persevere through the challenges and persecutions that Christians all over the world are experiencing right now.  This morning we will put the last four lessons together and see them embodied in the life and ministry of Christ when He sojourned on earth as a human being.  So many people believe that Jesus had an advantage over sin and the attacks of Satan because He is the Son of God who came from Heaven.  The Scriptures teach that He “laid aside His privileges” and was sent to earth “in the likeness of sinful flesh” because “He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.”  Knowing this, Christ’s faith is what gave Him the Power to persevere.  This morning we will see how the convictions, assurance, and obedience of Christ’s faith, in His human body, gave Him the victory in overcoming sin, death, and the devil so that we could be saved and empowered to fulfill His will with great courage and perseverance!
