PURITY OF HEART- “BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART”

Text:Matthew 5:8 and Psalm 24:1-6
Introduction:Those who have a pure heart before God are the ones who enjoy the rich blessings of true peace and contentment. Their lives are free from the burden of sin and they can freely express joy in living. Those who are not Christians are not able to see or appreciate the rich blessings bestowed upon those who love Him.
Point 1: Blessed are the Pure in Heart…
- Pure hearts are not burdened by the world’s pollution
- Blessed?-The concept of being blessed through having a pure heart means to enjoy happiness, well-being and prosperity
- Pure?-The Greek word “Kathros” means to be clean without filth. To be undefiled.
- Psalm 1:1-3 The blessed person can see and respond to God’s provision moment by moment bring true happiness, joy and peace
*The world pollutes our life
*The Word purifies and blesses our life
Point 2: …They Shall See God
- We see Him in the Creation, We see Him face-to-face
- Psalm 19:1-4 The beauty of the Creation reveals the glory and greatness of God. We stand in awe
- Those who are unbelievers experience the awe but they do not know its Maker of His joy!
- 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 In God’s Word we are able to behold (see) and be transformed by His magnificent glory. We can see His kindness, His gentleness, and all His many facets of glory.
- Psalm 24:1-6 We can see Him face-to-face now and we will be able to see Him face-to-face when He returns for His people.
