Prepare to Endure- Let Us Run the Race

Let us run with endurance the race that is set before! is the title of my sermon this morning. Honestly brethren as I studied for this morning’s sermon I was a bit overwhelmed. I now better understand what Jesus was talking about in Luke 14:25-33. Those who are Christians and those who desire to become Christians must really count the cost! I am convinced that all the pain and suffering in this life is not to be compared with what the LORD has promised and will give to those who endure to the end! This Christian life, our faith, is a fight filled with many challenges, difficulties, trials and heartache. Only those who remain faithful and persevere until their last breath will enter into the glories of Heaven! Through the lesson today let us develop the mindset of Paul, “Therefore, do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weigh to gory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
