Text:2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 and Ephesians 1:18
Introduction:We need to be reminded that we were saved, justified by His blood, sanctified by His Spirit, so that we may share the glorious character of our Lord Jesus Christ. In this lesson we will answer three questions. What is, His inheritance in the saints? What are the riches of His glory? Why has He given us the riches of His glory
Point 1: What is His Inheritance in the Saints?
- Christ’s Spirit given is the Promise of His Inheritance
- Ephesians 1:13-14 The Holy Spirit is given to us as a pledge or promise that we will receive the full inheritance when Jesus comes again.
- Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit within confirms we are children of God and co-heirs with Christ with all the riches of God.
- 2 Corinthians 1:21 God anointed us and sealed us, giving us His in our hearts as a promise to redeem us on the last day.
- 2 Corinthians 5:5 We will receive the fullness of His glory on the last day because His Spirit was given as a guarantee in earnest.
Point 2: What are the Riches of His Glory?
- The riches of glory are His manifest characters in us!
- Ephesians 3:16 The strength of our power in the Spirit is according to, or manifested by, the manifold riches of His glory.
- Colossians 1:25-27 God desire to make the riches of His glory in you known to you and through you, so that others may come to know the Lord Jesus Christ through your manifest presence.

- Colossians 3:12-15 The many facets of Christ’s glory are given to Christians so they may manifest His glorious magnificent character to draw all people unto Christ.

Point 3: Why has He given us the Riches of Glory?
- He has given us His riches so we can live like Him!
- Ephesians 3:8-10 We were told about and filled with the riches of His glory, so that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to all peoples and all those in the heavenly places through the Church of Jesus Christ.
- Ephesians 4:1-3 As Christians, we were called by God through the gospel of Christ so that we may gain the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that we may walk in a manner worthy of the gospel. Our walk is characterized by the facets of glory which include humility, gentleness, patience, forbearance, love, and peace.
