Introduction: Are you living the “Abundant Life” Jesus came to offer all people or are you, like the vast majority of humans, living life in the “Rat Race,” according to man’s standard of life?
Point 1: Will it be Rat Race or Abundant Life?
- Our life or lack of life is based on Choices/Priorities!
- Matthew 6:24-33
- Genuine life is based on our personal choices.
Are you choosing God or wealth?
- The abundant life is not materialistic!
Materialism is hollow, empty, and lonely.
- Real life is base on correct priorities!
Into what are you investing your life?
- Matthew 19:27 & Mark 10:28-31
- Peter asks, “What’s in it for us?”
- One hundred-fold blessing in this life!
Material, relational, occupational blessings.
- Choices now determine your joy & eternity!
Point 2: How can we Attain to this Abundant Life?
- The “Abundant Life” can only be attained thru Christ
- Matthew 6:24-33 “Be a U.P.S. Man!”

Repent! It is no longer My way but His way.
- P…Put to death the “Old Man!”
*Roms. 6:1-4 Crucify, bury the old man and raise up the new man in immersion.
*Gal. 2:20 Once crucifies, walk by the faith and convictions of Christ Jesus.
* Roms. 8:5-13 Spiritual mindset- study the Word of God to mortify the fleshly desires.
- S…Sacrifice your life in serving Jesus Christ
*Eph. 5:2 Imitate the love of God as manifest in the sacrifice of Christ for others.
*1 John 3:16 Lay down your life in selfless, sacrificial love for the brethren.
*1 John 4:16-17 Perfect your love for others and thus live just as Jesus lived in the flesh.
