Anxiety Manifests a Lack of Trust in God!

Today we will last weeks lesson begins a series of studies about our responses to this life and the challenges we are and will face which may reveal we need to work on building our trust in the LORD! Worry or anxiety is one behavioral response which reveals our need to build our trust in the LORD. Have we entrusted or souls, are very lives, to the LORD as the apostle Paul did and spoke of confidently when he was on death row in a prison in Rome soon to be executed, martyred for his faith in Christ? If not, do we often times worry about all that is going on in this world right now. As Thomas Paine wrote during a very crucial time during the the American war for independence, “These are the times that try men’s souls!”
The title of our lesson today is “Anxiety Manifests a Lack of Trust in God!” We will address three important ideas surrounding our worry or anxiety as Christians. First, we will examine the nature of worry and anxiety. This will be easy as we have all experienced the crush or worry, concern and anxiety in many ways and at many times. Second, we will listen to Jesus as He explains it demonstrates and lack of faith or trust in His kind and ever present provision. Finally, we will look at several words of encouragement from the Scripture that will focus our minds on the things we should be thinking and doing during these uncertain times!
