Truth Statement #6 “I am the Good Shepard” Part 2

Good Sheep follow the Shepherd’s Voice/Life.

• Good disciples follow Christ’s Word and life example.
• Matthew 16:24-26 To be a good disciple of

            Christ we must give up our self, our

            “Psuche” to serve Him.  We must deny  

            Self, take up our individual sacrifice, and

            follow Him                                     1 Peter 2:21-25

• John 13:12-17 Jesus demonstrated humility and

            lowering oneself to serve the needs of    

            others.  He showed us how to live our

            lives as Christians.  We need to make   

           100% sacrifice serving Him                                    John 10:27,  8:12,  12:26

Conclusion:  Three questions we must ask ourselves

1. Do I have ownership in the church? “Skin in the game?”
2. Am I using my God-given talents & gifts for God or self?
3. Have I given up my life and selfish pursues for His sake?
