As I finish up this mini series of sermons on the Cornerstones for Building Trust in Jesus as our Christ, Lord, and only Sovereign I offer one more critically important Cornerstone of Trust.  This foundation or core element of trust often times goes unspoken but reveals that the Character, Competence, and Constancy of Christ Jesus is genuine, real, and selfless!   What is this cornerstone of trust?  Jesus’ motives for coming into this world and giving Himself as a sacrifice to all peoples was driven by two very important intentions.  The first is His love and devotion for the Father in serving Him in fulfilling His will and accomplishing His work that was set out for Christ before the foundation of the world.  The second, like the first, is Christ’s love and devotion for His bride the church!  This morning we will prove why Jesus was sent into the world and what motivated Him to come with great desire, delight, and devotion!
