Overcoming Bitterness to Persevere Through Love

I am back from my little vacation in Montana and am “Back in the Saddle!” This morning’s lesson is titled, “Overcoming Bitterness to Persevere Through Love” As we have learned in the last few lessons Love is the key foundational pillar for the perseverance of the saints in times of great distress, trial, difficult, and persecution. Knowing this, our adversary the devil, has and will continue to effectively neutralize the church and its effectiveness in reaching the lost by destroying our love for one another by inciting bitterness! The causes of bitterness and embitterment in the body of Christ are countless but it usually boils down to selfishness and stubbornness in the individual Christians. Being jealous, having selfish ambitions, and being arrogant and unteachable can cause major bitterness between individuals which can produce disorder, defiling the integrity of the body of Christ, and every kind of evil. The cure for such ugliness in the church is to Love each other as Jesus loves us. To be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving each other from the heart will cure this ugly sinful disease of bitterness that can and does cause the love of many
