The Power of Perseverance – The Obedience of the Faith of Christ

This morning we finish the series on the three elemental facets of the faith of Christ.  The faith the Christ had is the faith we are called to develop and possess.  We are both justified and sanctified by the faith of Christ!  We have already examined the facets of conviction and assurance of Christ’s faith in us and this morning we will study the facet, the obedience of faith.  Christ’s faith led Him to obey His Father’s commandments and to fulfill the Father’s will for His life.  In the same manner we are to walk by faith, obeying the LORD’s word and fulfilling His will for us in Christ Jesus!  First, we will redefine faith and belief and then define the word obedience.  Second, we will examine several passages of Scripture that describes faithful obedience to His Father and His will.  Finally, we will learn that we are to walk in and live by that same faithful obedience to our God and Father.
