This morning we begin to lay the foundation for the “Perseverance of the Saints!”  Just as the sons of Issachar understood the times with knowledge of what Israel should do, so we also need to recognize the times we are living in and learn what the church of the living God is called to do to persevere in times of great difficulty.  This morning we will define, from Revelation 14:12, what “Perseverance” means for the saints of God and we will look at the two distinguishing character qualities of these persevering saints.  The first great character quality of the persevering saint is possessing a love for God so they, as obedient children, will humbling do what He calls them to do to build His Kingdom!  The second great character quality of the persevering saint is to possess and manifest the “Faith of Christ!”  The two character qualities can be summed up in one verse, “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision or uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.” Galatians 5:6
